Data & Insight Analyst

We’re looking for a Data & Insight Analyst to work on our core offering and business products to help shape the future data driven communication and intelligence. You will enjoy working with some of the brightest minds in our industry, cutting edge technology, and the ability to see your insights turned into real products on a regular basis.

The Data & Insight Analyst should have a passion for data, working with business people, and creating solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in analyzing, modeling and interpreting large datasets. This role will spend time working independently and as part of a team and will focus on specific deadlines as defined by the management team.

This position is based full time in our San Antonio, TX office.

Responsibilities

  • Work with large datasets: facts, figures, and number crunching. You will need to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions.
  • You will often be called to present findings or translate the data into an understandable document. You will need to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas.
  • Must look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings.
  • Be vigilant in analysis to come to correct conclusions.
  • Assists in content management and permissions management within the established SharePoint environments.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks.

Required Skills

  • Experience with requirements gathering, use cases, task planning, business process documentation, and the Software Development Life cycle (SDLC)
  • 3- 5 years experience analyzing, modeling, and interpreting large datasets
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of relational databases
  • 1-2 years of MSSQL, POSTGRESQL, or MYSQL experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, computer science, or related field
  • Experience using visualization tools, e.g. tableau, looker, periscope

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodology

Data Scientist

We’re looking for a Data Scientist to work on our core offering and business products to help shape the future data driven communication and intelligence. The candidate will have a background in applying data science techniques to social or business problems, will have experience working with medium to large-scale datasets, and will have demonstrated experience in data-driven decision making. You are focused on results, a self-starter with an appetite for improving their skills, and have demonstrated success in using data science to drive the understanding, growth, and success on behalf of clients.

This position is based full time in our San Antonio, TX office.

Responsibilities

  • Apply your data science expertise to real business problems, from data acquisition,
    processing and modeling, through to the presentation of your results, communicating to
    stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Have a keen sense of self-management to find the most efficient and effective solutions that add most value for our clients, choosing the right metrics to demonstrate your effectiveness.
  • Assist in developing our core business data products.
  • Building insightful dashboards, reports and presentations.
  • Automating analyses and authoring pipelines via SQL and Python-based ETL framework.
  • Support other members of the company, both in the data science team and outside it.
  • Commit to good working practices (including version control, code reviews, writing documentation).
  • Always be considering where you can bring innovation to our work.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience delivering data science products and/or services in commercial environments for at least 1 year
  • Master’s in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics or other similar quantitative field
  • Experience of SQL/relational databases.
  • Development experience in any scripting language (R, Python, C++, etc.)
  • Can communicate complex topics to non-specialist audiences effectively.
  • Knowledge of statistics (including statistical distributions, Bayesian inference)
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degrees in a technical quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or similar)
  • Experience delivering data science products and/or services in commercial environments in a range of sectors, particularly digital marketing
  • Experience of Python and knowledge of the data science stack (scikit-learn, pandas, numpy)
  • Experience communicating the results of analyses with product and leadership teams to influence the strategy of products
  • Experience of big data architectures (e.g. Lambda, Hadoop) and/or cloud computing (e.g. AWS/Azure/GCloud)
  • Experience of unit testing and version control.
  • Designed or conformed to modern IT and data security standards.
  • Experience scoping technical projects, and/or leading technical teams.

Behavioral Scientist

We use behavioral science to understand the motivations, needs and individual differences of our clients’ audiences, and use those insights to personalize communications and affect behavior change. We also use psychological insight to optimize communications and ‘nudge’ behavior independent of segments. All of our work starts with the end in mind, looking to impact tangible, real-world metrics for our clients.

We’re looking for a Behavioral Scientist to conduct behaviorally-informed research and provide insight into the psychology of audiences and how best to communicate with them, in order to change their behaviors. You will enjoy working on interesting projects with a strong psychological focus alongside some of the brightest minds in our industry – for exciting clients.

The Behavioral Scientist should have a passion for psychology and real-world application, as well as an innate sense of curiosity. The ideal candidate would have experience in individual differences research and marketing/advertising psychology, as well as experience in market research, such as designing and executing surveys. Statistical analysis is desirable also.

This role will spend time working independently and as part of a team and will focus on specific deadlines as defined by the management team.

This position is based full time in our San Antonio, TX office.

Responsibilities

  • Input on the expected psychology of client audiences and how to assess them
  • Design research instruments, both quantitative and qualitative, to understand audiences
  • Interpret the data outputs through a psychological lens and make recommendations for communication (e.g., advertisements)
  • Present behavioral science in an engaging and understandable way both internally and to clients
  • Write reports to communicate findings to clients
  • Conduct reviews of published literature to build understanding in psychological areas for specific client briefs

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in psychology, behavioral science, marketing, or an appropriately related field
  • Experienced in psychology, particularly individual differences, consumer psychology, and behavior change
  • Experience in market research and able to design research, both quantitative and qualitative
  • Scientifically literate, particularly with respect to psychological literature
  • Good level of analytical skills and ability to draw insights from data
  • Able to write documents/reports (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Docs and Google Slides)
  • Curiosity and passion for psychology
  • Excellent communication skills (able to simplify complex findings and make them engaging)

Research Analyst

We’re looking for a Research Analyst to conduct market research, develop sophisticated methodologies and assist in data analyses and visualizations. You will spend time working independently and as part of a team. Part of this role will be project management and working with research vendors to get surveys in the field in a timely manner.

The Research Analyst should have passion for research and data analysis as well as innate sense of curiosity. The ideal candidate will have background in social sciences with a strong statistical training. They should have experience in designing research surveys, and using other research methods for commercial research.

This position is full time and ideally based in our San Antonio, TX office.

Responsibilities

  • Apply your expertise to real business problems, from survey designs, data collection and processing to the presentation of results and communication to clients.
  • Assist in designing both quantitative and qualitative research approaches for both market and political research.
  • Work effectively with research vendors and panel providers and assist in getting surveys in the field in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the analyses of results and report writing for other team members and clients.
  • Analyze data using appropriate software, assist in development and interpretation of of tables, figures and other data summaries.
  • Always be considering where you can bring innovation and creativity to our work.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences political sciences, or related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in market or political research
  • Experience in both quantitative and qualitative research designs
  • Experience in survey designs for market or political research
  • Experience in research execution (managing panel providers, programming online surveys in platforms such as SurveyGizmo or Qualtrics)
  • Experience in statistical analysis techniques in any statistical language (SPSS, Mplus, R, Python)
  • Experience in communicating the analyses results to all backgrounds
  • Good writing skills and ability to present data findings in and easy to understand manner
  • Strong organizational skills and time-management
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
